BL Designworks creates hand crafted split bamboo fly rods in a variety of sizes and tapers. All materials are of the finest quality, including Tonkin cane, silk thread, nickel silver butt caps and reel seats, and exotic wood inlays.

I build each rod myself, from butt cap to tiptop. Great care is taken at each stage of the process to ensure that each rod, while possessing its own personality, has all of the standard elements of a great fly rod--strength, balance, obedience and beauty.

I work each piece by hand, often using tools I have created myself, to ensure the highest quality of each section of every rod.
